Speciality & Fine Food Asia unveils 5-in-1 trade show for the F&B industry this June.
With the addition of Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, Meat & Poultry Asia and Food2Go alongside Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia, this year’s edition of SFFA is set to be a megashow of new products for the F&B sector.
Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA), Southeast Asia’s leading trade show for artisan, gourmet and fine food and drink organised by international events organiser Montgomery Asia, announces its return to Singapore from 22 to 24 June. The fourth edition will also house co-located trade show Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia (RPB Asia), and see the launch of three new co-located shows – Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia (SCTA), Meat & Poultry Asia (MPA) and Food2Go.
SFFA will occupy nearly 6,200 square metres of Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre and is expected to host 5,000 in-person visitors and over 150 exhibitors showing new products and the latest industry innovations from Singapore and across the world.
After two years of disruption caused by the pandemic, the heavily affected F&B sector is now paving its road to recovery. The easing of Safe Management Measures (SMMs) has marked the resumption of businesses, giving the food & beverage (F&B) and meetings, incentives, conferences & exhibitions (MICE) sectors a major boost of confidence. SFFA 2022 aims to bring communities back together to reconnect, reshape and refresh the industry as we embrace new technologies in the F&B arena.
Bringing back the spirit of past editions of SFFA, visitors can look forward to a more well-rounded trade event experience, with food tastings now allowed at exhibitor booths in accordance with the latest regulations. This edition of SFFA and its co-located events will also feature multiple thought leaders from companies such as foodpanda, Deliveroo, Chope, Grab and AirAsia, who will share their insights at industry expert panel sessions at the Innovation Stage.
Christopher McCuin, Managing Director of Montgomery Asia, said, “Following three highly successful editions, this upcoming edition of SFFA has been waiting in the wings since 2019 and the F&B industry has been looking forward to a revitalised sourcing and networking experience. With three complementing shows alongside SFFA and RPB, and the introduction of new and returning partners and exciting onsite events, barista championships, seminars, cooking displays and panel discussions, we are thrilled to finally be able to welcome the entire industry back together this June.”
Speciality & Fine Food Asia (SFFA) is the sister show of the Speciality & Fine Food Fair – London’s renowned artisan food and drink event – and is Southeast Asia’s leading trade show for artisan, gourmet and fine food and drink. Following its overwhelming success during the last three editions, SFFA has built a fantastic reputation as one of the most prominent business platforms in the industry. Organised alongside SFFA is Restaurant, Pub & Bar Asia (RPB Asia), which has been cemented as the go-to show for restaurant, pub and bar owners and operators.
Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia (SCTA), in partnership with the Singapore Coffee Association (SCA), will cater to speciality coffee bean and tea leaf growers and producers, as well as suppliers, roasters, traders, retailers and cafe owners. Meat & Poultry Asia (MPA), in partnership with the Meat Traders’ Association Singapore, will connect international meat and poultry suppliers, the region’s food manufacturers, hospitality and foodservice professionals, and retail buyers. Finally, Food2Go, organised by Montgomery Asia, is an inaugural business-to-business F&B takeaway and delivery services event which will be a one-stop sourcing platform for the industry’s business needs.
The F&B Playground
The main exhibition showground – The F&B Playground – which will encompass the five co-located shows, will feature over 750 leading brands and new products ranging from artisanal food and drinks, craft beverages, speciality coffee and tea products, to high-quality meats, including those from brands such as Eureka International Group, Monde Nissin Singapore Pte Ltd, Vektro Asia Pte Ltd, Hong Seh Evolution Pte Ltd, One Vibes Nation Vending & Advisory Pte Ltd, City Storage System Singapore Pte Ltd, Racewerks Pte Ltd, LAP Spirits Pte Ltd, Happy Happy Foods, S P S.p.a and Edition Eats Pte Ltd, amongst many others.
A Start-Up Village will also feature the latest products from up-and-coming companies such as Polobio SRL, Pour Beverages Pte Ltd, Lion City Meadery, UFisheries LLC and Baken Pte Ltd.
Showcasing some of the finest products from across the globe, at least eight Country Pavilions will be set up; exhibitors and national trade representatives from Singapore, Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States and Uzbekistan have already confirmed their attendance.
The Singapore Pavilion will occupy 800 square metres and have the largest contingent among all participating countries. Led by the Singapore Coffee Association and Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association, the pavilion will include showcases from local companies such as Vektro Asia Pte Ltd, Hong Seh Evolution Pte Ltd and One Vibes Nation Vending & Advisory Pte Ltd, among others.
SFFA 2022 will see an exciting line-up of fringe events showcasing the latest trends, products and innovations.
The Fine Food Live Stage will feature several talks, chef demonstrations and product launches showcasing the latest food preparation techniques and flavours. A series of Butchery Demonstrations will also be an exciting platform for professionals in the meat industry to demonstrate fine workmanship skills, establish new working friendships and unlock business opportunities.
The Innovation Stage boasts a three-day programme on the latest trends surrounding food delivery and takeaway innovations, including panel discussions presenting the latest technological disruptions and food innovations that are shaping the world of F&B today.
The Tap Room will be a refreshing area where attendees can taste and savour the industry’s finest and newest brews.
One key highlight that attendees can look forward to is the Singapore National Coffee Championship. Organised by the Singapore Coffee Association at the inaugural Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, the competition will see participants vying for the top spot, with the winner heading to the World Barista Championships and Brewer’s Cup Championship which will be held in Melbourne, Australia later this year.
Victor Mah, President of the Singapore Coffee Association, said, “We look forward to working with Montgomery Asia to host the Singapore National Coffee Championship at SCTA, which I am sure will be an exciting one co-located with an established trade show. On behalf of SCA, we welcome all coffee enthusiasts to visit us at SCTA 2022.”
Andy Ng, Country Manager of Eureka International Group, said: “As the F&B industry bounces back amid this new normal, SFFA is a great platform to bring together once again trade visitors and partners to share knowledge about current consumer trends and happenings in the space. We are excited for the opportunity to reconnect and exchange ideas, and I think there is great potential for advancing innovation and improving both value and supply chains for the benefit of F&B businesses everywhere.”
Amelia Walsh, Trade and Investment Commissioner of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTRADE) Singapore, said: “AUSTRADE Singapore are excited to be back in person promoting some of Australia’s finest agri-products at SFFA in Singapore. We are passionate about providing safe, sustainable produce to our partners across the globe and SFFA is the ideal trade show to help give Australian businesses an opportunity to highlight their premium offerings to the buyers in Southeast Asia.”
