Givaudan, a manufacturer of fragrances and flavours, has completed the acquisition of Vika BV, a manufacturer of dairy ingredients.

The dairy ingredients manufacturer offers a range of natural dairy ingredients, fonds and stocks, as well as meat and plant based extracts to the food and beverage industry.

“This acquisition is aligned with our ambition to support all food and beverage companies in developing great tasting products that align with consumer demands for clean label, organic and natural ingredients,” said Mauricio Graber, president, flavour division, Givaudan.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but the business from the dairy ingredients manufacturer would have represented approximately US$76 million of incremental sales to the fragrance and flavour company’s results in 2016 on a pro forma basis.

Mr Graber also said the company is committed to providing their customers with a broader range of flavour and taste solutions ranging from traditional synthetic flavours to natural flavours.
