Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) – a world-class provider of mobile hydraulics for the construction, agriculture and other off-highway vehicle markets – is all set to inaugurate their new facility in Pune.

“Our new Danfoss Power Solutions facility in Pune is testimonial to the growth of our business in India that has been driven solely by our customers. As a company focussed on innovation and development, we believe that this facility will enable us to be a step-ahead to efficiently address the future needs of our customers and the industry in the next phase of India’s technological transformation journey,” said Mr. Domenico Traverso, President – Work Function, Danfoss Power Solutions & India Board Member, at the launch of the new facility.

In lines with the government’s vision towards ‘Make in India’, around 95 percent of all the products that are manufactured in the facility use materials and components that are made in India. The company aims to invest on increasing its product offerings in India within the next 24 months and remains firm on its mission to ensure a minimum of 50 percent localisation level for sourcing and manufacturing in their future product lines as well.

Speaking on the outlook for the new facility, Mr. Upinder Razdan, Managing Director – Danfoss Power Solutions, India said, “Instead of looking at our customers with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, we have always focussed on tailor-making our world-class solutions based on the specific needs of the Indian industry and the market. With customer-centricity and reliability at the very core of our functioning, we are confident that our new facility will bring great momentum to the technological progress for our customers, thereby enabling us to strengthen our market-leader position in India”.

The expansion of Danfoss facilities in the city of Pune is owing to the ease-of-doing-business in the city with strategic avenues to strengthen the company’s supply chain across air, water and land. The location also places the Danfoss Power Solutions facility in proximity with its customers across various sectors. The access and availability of land, infrastructure and skilled labour in the area has also been a key consideration for the company to strengthen its base in the city.
