The diary manufacturing and distribution company in China recently announced changes to its board of directors.

Lu Minfang will succeed Sun Yiping as the company’s new chief executive officer. Previously, Mr Lu served as the non-executive chairman and vice president at Danone Early Life Nutrition Greater China. He also served as the chief executive officer of Yashili International Holdings Limited since January 2015. Before joining the Danone Group, Mr Lu spent nine years with Johnson & Johnson (China) and four years with General Electric Company (China).

In addition, Niu Genshen, the founder of Mengniu, has returned to the company as a member of the strategy and development committee. Wu Wenting, the former CFO of China Foods, was also appointed as new executive director of Mengniu.

The company is also lowering the size of its board of directors, which it says will help “operate more efficiently in its decision making process”.
