Through this alliance, food ingredients producer ADiRECT Singapore aims to further enhance its livestock product line-up in Japan and the region.

On 28 December 2017, ADiRECT Singapore And Starzen Group Form Capital And Business Alliance an importer and exporter of Japanese premium meat and processed meat products. Before the partnership, the food ingredients producer had been involved in the wholesale meat import and food manufacturing industry in Singapore—in particular, it dealt with high-quality wagyu beef produced in Japan, among other agricultural, livestock and fishery products. It also currently owns primary and secondary meat processing facilities, catering to diversified customer demands for delicatessens and other prepared foods.

In recent years, ASEAN has established a growing demand for food manufacturers and wholesalers who can cater to dynamic changes in the food industry. Likewise, through this new alliance, the food ingredients producer intends to use Starzen Group’s global product procurement and supply network to enhance its livestock product line-up in Japan.

In order to meet current consumer trends, the business also aims to expand by making products from other countries—apart from Japan—available to consumers in Singapore and the region. The company also aims to develop its business into other countries—in a similar way it did in Singapore—making it a role model for these countries where greater economic growth is expected in the future. This will thus contribute to the development of the food industry in Singapore and other ASEAN member countries.

Some product developments in the horizon include ready-to-eat processed chilled foods, including the exclusive GO-ZEN Japanese Premium Ready2Eat brand.
