Previously known as Sandvik Process Systems, the steel belt supplier and food process systems manufacturer, is to be renamed IPCO under the new ownership of Wallenberg group.

The company is currently an independent entity under the Wallenberg group with 600 employees. It also operates 35 sales and service offices, and has annual sales in excess of 200 million euros (about US$246 million).

In joining the Wallenberg group, IPCO has gained the stability of being part of a business with approximately 600,000 employees, and more than US$172 billion in total annual sales of holdings.

IPCO’s network of regional offices will enable it to continue to provide local, on-the-ground expertise, backed by a service organisation with the ability to support customers in any location around the world.

It functions across three business areas, including industrial processing, supplying steel belts, and composite solutions. In its manufacturing arm of stainless and carbon steel belts for the food industry, it produces belt applications for bake ovens, fish freezers, meat cutting tables, and conveying operations, to name a few.

Producing its own process systems, it is also a supplier of forming and solidification equipment. This includes the Rotoform FD—a food-grade pastillation system used to turn molten chocolate into pastilles, for remixing as an ingredient or as chocolate chips in cookies and cakes.
